Description

Precision Optical Reticle

Our precision optical reticle is a custom-manufactured glass optical component designed for instruments and optical systems that require accurate reference patterns, fine lines, high contrast, and stable dimensional performance.

Jiujon Optics manufactures custom optical reticles using optical glass substrates including B270, N-BK7, H-K9L, and H-K51. Depending on the application, the reticle can be produced with precision etched patterns, opaque chrome coatings, transparent areas, and anti-reflection coatings.

With fine line widths down to 0.003 mm, surface quality of 20/10, and clear aperture up to 90%, our precision optical reticles can be customized according to optical, mechanical, and application-specific requirements.

Custom Optical Reticle Manufacturing

A precision optical reticle is more than a glass substrate with a printed pattern. The dimensional accuracy, line definition, coating performance, surface quality, and pattern geometry can all influence the performance of the final optical system.

Jiujon Optics provides customized reticle manufacturing based on customer drawings, specifications, or application requirements. Reticle patterns can be developed according to the required line width, geometry, transparent area, opaque area, and optical density.

Our manufacturing process can include glass preparation, precision grinding and polishing, pattern formation, coating, cleaning, inspection, and final quality control.

For applications requiring very fine reference patterns, line widths can be manufactured down to 0.003 mm, subject to substrate material, pattern geometry, and production requirements.

Glass Materials

Different optical systems may require different glass substrates. Our precision optical reticles can be manufactured using:

  • B270
  • N-BK7
  • H-K9L
  • H-K51
  • Others

The substrate can be selected according to optical transmission requirements, dimensional stability, mechanical properties, and the operating environment of the final instrument.

Custom substrate materials may also be evaluated according to project requirements.

Reticle Patterns and Coatings

The reticle pattern can be customized to meet the optical design of the instrument.

Opaque areas can be produced using high optical density chrome coatings, while transparent areas can be treated with anti-reflection coatings to improve optical transmission.

Our current specification includes:

  • High optical density opaque chrome coating
  • Optical density performance with Tabs <0.01% at visible wavelengths
  • Transparent area with AR reflectance R <0.35% at visible wavelengths
  • Etched glass pattern with sodium silicate and titanium dioxide filling

The coating and pattern configuration can be adjusted according to the customer’s optical design and application requirements.
