10x10x10mm Penta Prism for Rotating Laser Level

10x10x10mm Penta Prism for Rotating Laser Level

Category

Precision penta prism for rotating laser level systems, manufactured from optical glass with high angular accuracy and excellent surface quality. Custom sizes, materials and coatings are available.

Description

Our penta prism for rotating laser level systems is a precision optical component designed to redirect laser beams while maintaining stable beam direction and angular accuracy. With its compact geometry and precise optical surfaces, the penta prism is suitable for laser projection, leveling, alignment, and measurement systems where controlled beam deviation is required.

A penta prism uses a five-sided optical geometry to redirect an incoming beam by 90° while maintaining the image orientation. This makes it useful in optical systems where the available installation space is limited or where the laser beam needs to be redirected without changing the image orientation.

Product Features

  • Five-sided optical prism geometry designed for controlled 90° beam deviation
  • Precision optical glass construction for consistent optical transmission
  • Available in H-K9L, N-BK7, JGS1, and other optical materials according to application requirements
  • Reflective coating options, including aluminum or silver, for the specified optical configuration
  • Compact 10 × 10 × 10 mm configuration for integration into space-constrained optical assemblies
  • Beam deviation of less than 5/10/30 arcsec for precision optical applications
  • Precision-ground and polished optical surfaces
  • Customizable dimensions, materials, coatings, and optical specifications

Penta Prism for Rotating Laser Level Applications

The penta prism for rotating laser level can be customized according to the optical and mechanical requirements of different laser level systems. Its compact structure makes it suitable for optical assemblies where the beam path must be redirected within a limited installation space.

Typical applications include:

  • Rotating laser levels used in construction and manufacturing
  • Surveying and optical alignment equipment
  • Engineering and architectural measurement systems
  • Laser projection and positioning equipment
  • Optical assemblies requiring controlled 90° beam deviation
  • Binoculars, periscopes, and other imaging devices requiring image rotation

In rotating laser level systems, the prism can help redirect the laser beam while maintaining the required optical geometry. The angular accuracy and surface quality of the prism are important factors in maintaining consistent beam positioning and measurement performance.

Optical Performance

  • The penta prism is manufactured with precision optical surfaces to provide controlled beam transmission and reflection.
The specified optical performance can be adapted according to the customer’s application, wavelength, material, and coating requirements.
  • The transmission surfaces can be supplied with an anti-reflective coating designed for the required wavelength.
  • The specified coating performance is Rabs <0.5% at the design wavelength on transmission surfaces.
  • Reflective surfaces can be coated to achieve Rabs >95% at the design wavelength, according to the specified optical configuration.
Black-painted areas can also be provided where required by the optical and mechanical design.
  • The prism can achieve a specified beam deviation of less than 5/10/30 arcsec, making it suitable for optical systems where accurate beam positioning and repeatable alignment are important.
